a)जड़ ,

up board biology imp questions

Class 12 Biology Lesson 2 Sexual reproduction in flowering plants

        Test 2

 1. The place where the ovule is attached is called the ovule.

 a) division,
b) nucleus,
c) nucleus,
d) Micropiles

 Answer: Division

 2. The father of Indian embryology

 a) Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose,
b) Dr. Birbal Sahni,
c) Dr. Hargovind Khurana,
d) P. Maheshwari

 Answer – P Maheshwari

 3. Dual fertilization occurs

 a) in algae,
b) in angiosperm plants,
c) In exposed seedlings,
d) in fungi

 Answer: In angiosperm plants

 4. Pollination occurs in Selvia

 a) by water,
b) by air,
c) by insects,
d) none of these

 Answer: By insects

 5. Which part of the flowering plant is haploid

 a) root,
b) leaf,
c) male gametes,
d) zygote

 Answer: Male gametes

 6. What is multiplicity?

Answer: Having multiple embryos in a seed is called multipolarity, apart from the formation of embryos from the zygote, sometimes fusion of the male gametes with the supporting cells creates additional embryos.

 7. Give any two examples of virtual fruits.

Answer – Pear, Cashew, Apple, Pineapple

 8. Define double fertilization.

Answer: In covered BG plants, one egg cell is formed from male gametes I and one from male gametes second nucleus formed from the germ cell of pollinator.  Both these actions are collectively called double fertilization.

 9. Define pollination.

Answer – The transfer of pollen particles from the pollen base to the stems of the same species is called pollination, there are two types of self-pollination and pollination.

 10. What is Disorganization?  Give examples

Answer – The process of middle fertilization without fertilization is called asexual reproduction, in this process sexual reproduction has been replaced.  The plants resulting from asexual reproduction are called asorganic.  There is no gamete fusion or meiosis in the life cycle of these plants.  It was discovered by Winkler (1908).

 11. Draw a neatly named picture of the cross section of the pollen sac.

 12. Write the difference between embryonic sac and embryos.

answer –

 13. Write a comment on the disintegration.

Answer – Normally after fertilization, ovary produces fruit.  Sometimes the ovary develops into fruit without fertilization.  Such a fruit is anaerobic fruit and this process of producing fruit is called disinflation.  Many examples of these can be known in nature like banana papaya orange etc.  The ovules in nonflammable fruits do not convert into seeds.  In many plants, the process of producing fruit starts only after pollination, whether fertilization or not.  Spraying of some hormones, such as NAA, can induce nonflammatory function because the fruits made in this way are seedless, so this process damages fruits with pomegranates, since only parts of the seeds are eaten.

 14. Mention the changes that occur after fertilization in a flower.

Answer – Double fertilization occurs in the flowering plants, as a result of which the diploid zygote and triple primary embryo nucleus forms in the embryo base, thereby forming the embryo and embryos.  Embryos provide nutrition to the developing fetus.  Along with this, there are many changes in the ovary, which results in the formation of the seed from the ovary and the fruit from the ovary.
